Shipping Terms

How will my bed ship?

All of our shipments ship via standard freight trucks.   Most of our shipments are curbside deliveries.   In order to have your bed delivered, the carrier must first schedule a delivery appointment with you.   It is important to inspect your shipment prior to accepting your shipment.  There should be no holes, tears or any signs of damage.  If you notice something odd please inspect the inside contents first.

You will be receiving 2 boxes for the bed frame only, 3 boxes if you ordered a headboard.  The boxes can be quite heavy and you must have additional help on your delivery date to help you bring the boxes inside your home from your truck bed.  Please note that the carrier is not responsible for bringing the boxes inside your home nor assembling your bed.  If you desire to have your bed brought inside your home and assembled then you must contact us for a White Glove Delivery quote.

Average box weights:

  • 4 Drawer frames each half:  100 lbs
  • 8 Drawer frames each box:  150-175 lbs
  • Headboards:  40-80 lbs

What is a freight delivery?

A freight delivery is when an item that needs to be shipped is 80 pounds or more.   Anything over 80 pounds must go Freight (one of the big semi-trucks you see on the freeway).

What is a Loading Dock?

a Loading Dock is a recessed bay in a building or facility where trucks are loaded and unloaded.  They generally back in and the dock is level with the truck for easy loading and unloading.

What is a Lift Gate?

When the shipping or receiving address does not have a loading dock, manual loading or unloading is necessary. A lift gate is a platform at the back of certain trucks that can raise and lower a shipment from the ground to the truck. Lift gate service is always used on freight exceeding 80 lbs in weight if loading dock is not available. If freight weight exceeds 80 lbs and loading dock is not available at pick-up and/or drop-off locations, a lift gate service must be purchased.

What is Curbside Delivery?

Curbside Delivery provides delivery made to the curb at the end of your driveway or parking lot.  It is not the driver’s responsibility to bring freight into house, garage, building, etc.  Drivers do not assist with unpacking, set-up or clean up.

What is Inside Delivery?

Inside delivery is when the driver brings the shipped items from the truck to the entrance of your building.  Generally this means the items will be brought inside the front or back door – for example, a lobby or back room.  Inside delivery does not include delivery down a hallway or up stairs.

What is a White Glove Delivery?

White glove delivery includes bringing the boxes inside your home and bed setup.  This service allows you to enjoy your bed right away without moving a finger.   Recommendations: You must have the room clear and ready for the carrier to setup your bed.  Please make sure that the path is clear including frames, paintings, pictures, wall art and anything along hallways.  The carrier will not be responsible for taking your old bed or mattress away.

What if I suspect a damage?

If you notice a sign of damage, refuse the shipment.  Please inspect the inside contents first before accepting any shipments.  If there is damage please contact us at (626) 548-8171 to assist you.  Please take pictures of the damages and the boxes to assess the damage.  A partial shipment may be refused due to damage.  IMPORTANT:  You mus sign on the delivery received DAMAGE and describe the damage.  A claim must be filed with the carrier to obtain a replacement.  Do not discard your damage shipment if you accepted it.  Please check your shipment the same day for any concealed damages.  Any concealed damages must be reported within 3 days to the carrier.  All concealed damages must be reported immediately for proper filing.  We are not liable for damaged shipments including concealed damages after 4 days.   Please take the time to make sure your shipment arrived in perfect condition.

Optional shipping insurance

Your shipment will travel many miles until it reaches your destination, changing many hands along the way to reach your destination. This involves changing from different trucks, warehouses and while damages are not common since we palatalize and box your shipment they are still possible. You have the option to insure your shipment to provide you with a replacement immediately without you having to be involved with the claim. The optional shipping insurance gives you peace of mind that you will receive your shipment in perfect shape after traveling many miles. Without shipping insurance, the carrier is now liable for the integrity of your shipment since it left or shop in perfect condition. In the case that the carrier mishandles your shipment you will have to file a claim with the carrier to obtain a refund for your shipment and place a new order.  Contact one of our friendly staff members to add this optional service this service may be added prior to shipping.

Delivery time frames

Each order is handcrafted one by one to your specifications, allowing us to give attention to all the little details. Please allow about 4-5 to complete your order. We will contact you once your bed has been completed to coordinate shipping.


By placing your order online, invoice or by phone you are accepting our delivery terms.  All of our storage beds are custom made to your specifications and thus we kindly ask for 4-5 weeks to complete your order.  There are no refunds on custom made orders including items damaged during shipment.  A replacement will be issued once the claim is filed completed with the carrier.
